An Original Linocut Print of Anahit,  printed by myself at my home studio in the Northeast of England, so everyone is slightly different and unique.
 
Anahit is the goddess of fertility, healing and wisdom in Armenian mythology, she was one of the most venerated deities in the region.Her statue, which is currently at the British Museum, was used for healing powers: The Anahit temples, which were found mostly in Armenia’s Artashat region, were known to welcome the sick and the ill, as it was believed that Goddess Anahit would help them heal.
 
The process of a linocut print is quite lengthy. I digitally design most of my prints, these are then printed and transferred to a block for carving. Once carved the block is inked and printed to produce the final piece. Each print is titled and signed at the bottom in pencil.ss post. International Delivery is via Royal Mail International Standard tracked Delivery.
 
Printed on 60gsm nepalese washi paper which has a natural tone and is slightly transparent. Paper size is approx. 10.5 inches by 16 inches. The print size is 8 inches by 12 inches
Caligo Safewash Ink is an oil based ink which can be cleaned up without using toxic cleaners, its main ingredient is linseed oil which makes them environmentally friendly and easy to work with. This is print is a beautiful deep blue/grey.
 
Your print will be carefully wrapped to ensure safe delivery. I am trying to make the move to using post-consumer packaging to be more eco-friendly. This print will arrive carefully wrapped in a postal tube as this is safest way to send it due to its size.
 
UK orders are being posted by either the Royal Mail or Evri, depending on the size of the print, for orders over £15 this will be by tracked delivery.  For orders of £10 and under I use 2nd class post. International Delivery is most often with Royal Mail International Standard Delivery or Evri.
