An Original Linocut Print of the Venus of Willendorf, an ancient female Statue. 
Handprinted by myself at my home studio in the North East of England. Each Print will be signed and editioned. 
The Venus of Willendorf is a small statuette carved from limestone of paleolithic origin, made some 25,000 years ago. Believed to be a votive to a mother goddess many similar statues have been found around the world. 
The process of a linocut print is quite lengthy. I digitally design most of my prints, these are then printed and transferred to a block for carving. Once carved the block is inked and printed to produce the final piece. Each edition is different but limited. This edition will be of 20 prints. Each print is titled and signed for authenticity and comes with a descriptive note about the mythology of the design.
Printed on white Zerkall printmaking paper 145gsm.
Caligo Safewash Ink is an oil based ink which can be cleaned up without using toxic cleaners, its main ingredient is linseed oil which makes them environmentally friendly and easy to work with.

Your print will be carefully wrapped to ensure safe delivery. I am trying to make the move to using post-consumer packaging to be more ecofriendly. 
All UK orders are being posted by the Royal Mail, for orders over £10 this will be by 48hr tracked delivery unless Express delivery options are added. For orders under £10 I use 2nd class post. International Delivery is via Royal Mail International Standard tracked Delivery.
The Print is approximately 13cmx16cm.
