An Original Linocut Print of The Autumn Dryad from Greek mythology.
Hand printed by myself at my home studio in the Northeast of England, so everyone is slightly different and unique.
The Dryads of Greek mythology are the nymphs of the trees, groves and woodlands. They are most commonly known as the spirits or fairies of the oaks, poplars, pine and ash. This print was created as a short series on tree nature spirits of the seasons and this is the autumn dryad mother goddess. The print featuring a goddess in the tree with beautiful orange leaves falling to represent the autumn months
Materials: nepalese washi paper, caligo safewash ink.
