An Original Linocut Print of Demeter, Greek Goddess. Hand printed by myself at my home studio in the Northeast of England, so everyone is slightly different and unique. Greek Goddess Demeter is best known in relation to her daughter Persephone. She is the goddess of the harvest and agriculture. After Persephone was kidnapped she became goddess of the seasons as in her joy the world blooms and in her sadness the world around her hibernates. Specifications
This edition of Demeter is of only 16 prints. Each print is numbered and signed for authenticity and comes with a descriptive note about the mythology of the design.
This artwork is hand printed on beautiful thick somerset velvet paper, with schminke water based ink.

I source my printing paper with the utmost care, looking not only for high quality paper but also companies that care highly for the environment and who produce paper that is ethically sustainable both for the earth and for the people who make it.
